We got our awesome new single stream recycling bin today. Finally, a better way to recycle and try to end the waste of sending it to the dump. Plastic 1-7! It was 1-2, which was such a pain. Thanks to the CoA for implementing this new program and I'm hoping that it's a great success. We're certainly looking forward to see how much waste we can reduce. If it hasn't hit your neighborhood it should very soon. If you want to know more just check out the FAQ's. Oh, and did I mention it's a nifty blue speckled cart? :-)
The age old question of "can you laser a Twinkie?" has finally been answered. After some long hard hours in the lab we have finally come up with the answer to one of life's greatest mysteries and the answer is... YES!! As part of an ongoing project to laser as much food as possible in preparation for a semi-secret Maker's Faire project we have the following personalized sugar containment system....
Saint Arnold's Divine Release #7 hit the stores yesterday. Mad props to Jeff at Spec's Arbor Walk for saving me a six pack after having gone by 3 times earlier in the day before the truck arrived. Also thanks to the guys at Central Market for selling me the last 5 bottles, a single short of the full 6 due to a unfortunate shipping accident. But I must say that their policy of not limiting any of these special releases at CM is completely ridiculous and shame on the guy who took off with 4 whole cases right in front of me. For those of you not able to try any I'd be glad to let you have a taste or even trade for you for a few of #6 that I missed out on due to being out of town. I'm still hording a few #5s as well. It's got a stronger fruit flavor than I expected and not as much chocolate on the back end but still quite a strong showing in the end. Congrats to local Kerry Martin on his newly famous Weizenbock!!
