Don't buy the Harmony One remote control, buy the 880 if you must buy one or wait for an RF version of the One. I owned an 890 that I used for IR and it worked great. It had multi-angle IR capability, with the One it seems that you must have it pointed almost exactly at the cabinet to get it to work because of it's one very small IR panel. But in order to use the touch screen you must tilt the remote towards your view this making it fairly useless. I love the layout of the One but have gone back to my 890 because it actually works. What a concept.
10e20 has a great breakdown of how to get some better shots.

I can't drive past this place without singing JoCo's version. As the old joke goes, it drives me nuts!!! Seriously though. He should totally do a radio spot for them when he's in town soon. Thanks Coulton, yet another place I can't drive by without singing your catchy tunes!!
I'm late posting this on the site, but I did sent it out to my friends the night I saw it. I'm not sure if Kimmel is writing this or his writers, but it's become a great running gag.
What is a histogram and what does it tell us about a photograph?
A histogram is nothing more than a bar graph. It shows how the luminance values in a in a digital or digitized photograph are distributed.
Luckily for us Professional Photographer Magazine has written a great article on the topic. Check it out and improve your photos today.
Harold Davis talks about the crazy techniques he uses to Processing a Photo for Flickr. That and his awesome photo skills.
When I look at my companies internal palettes and a lot of other websites out there my colour senses are greatly offended. I just don't know why people don't pay more attention to color, color matters. Sawse did a great job rounding up the 10 Top Sites for Colo(u)r Lovers - Inspiration, Palettes, Tools and Other Color Resources. Of course, COLOURlovers is already one of my favs so luckily they are right there at the top. :-)
People are always asking me for help with audio. It is hard to give people a lesson in which they can grasp even the basics. Thomas over at ArsTechnica has written up a great article on the subject of uncompressed digital audio.
Thanks to the ability of digital audio to be perfectly copied, transmitted, and carried in small packages, we may be surrounded by more music and human-made audio programming than at any other time in our history. Reaching this point has required a tremendous amount of innovation and standardization for formats and communication between audio systems. In this series of articles, titled The AudioFile, Ars takes a look behind the scenes of common digital audio files.
